FESTIVALS OF SPECIAL INTEREST

Baisakhi (April)
It is the Solar New Year’s day and the harvest festival. It was also on this day that the Khalsa was founded by Guru Gobind Singh, converting the Sikh into a martial race. It is an occasion for great celebration, dances and rejoicing.

Gurupurab (October/November)
The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion, and of Guru Gobind Singh, the last Guru (in Dec-Jan) are important celebration.

A four-day festival fair are held at Ram Tirath(10 km)
